With a brand new season looming, the Welsh Rugby Union were preparing to launch their new 2019/20 kit – and Glasshouse had the pleasure of kicking off the season providing a number of print solutions.
At the start of the new season campaign, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) store needed a new window display to advertise the upcoming product lines. We supplied and fitted a full colour window graphic display using Contra Vision. Contra Vision is becoming more and more popular in the print world, with companies opting to use the product to transform glass into opportunities for advertising, branding, one-way privacy, solar shading and decorative architectural features, while retaining excellent see-through from the other side.
Along with the new window graphics, we also revamped the whole store’s interior point of sale (POS) areas. This included the print and fitting of new: strut boards, foamex boards, hanging panels, gondola tops, wall vinyls and header boards. Each of these helped to completely transform the store to ensure the focus was on promoting the new season campaign.
Glasshouse was also asked to print and install graphics for the external merchandise stores onsite at the Principality Stadium, which consisted of a van and two standalone units at 10m and 5m. Ensuring that these were all on brand and met the same high-quality finish we completely wrapped all the units in vinyl to give them a refresh and make them stand out to fans throughout the stadium.
As with most kit launches, we are trusted to treat the print with discretion to ensure nothing is leaked to the public prior to the launch. We take great care to ensure that our printing is packaged securely and confidentially to avoid any sneak previews during transit. With this in mind the WRU requested that part of the fitting took place out of hours, away from any prying eyes.
